This was an amazing experience! The host were great, and we went rice picking, crap and bird hunting and basket Then we had a great local dinner with our host, made by his family/friends. We also played with some local kids from and english school in ordet to practise their english. In the end we went to their school to see how it their daily life is. Very exciting tour with a way bigger itenary than expected.

I enjoyed the variety of the trip, we got to meet local children from the community in the morning so they could practice their English. Then we were taught how rice is farmed and had a go at using the machines.

Went for this experience with a bunch of friends and we had an interesting experience. Back breaking work to say the least.. not sure how the locals carry on with this everyday but I have to say that I salute all the farmer around the world that work manually to produce that land up on our plates. My friends obviously played the fool every once in a while but one thing's for sure, we now have an immense amount of respect for farmers of Cambodia and all over the world.

"you HAVE to try this!" I cannot emphasize how important Backstreet Academy was for my trip to Cambodia!!! Honestly, it was probably more important than anything else, including the temples! My girlfriend and I first went rice farming, crab, fish and snake hunting - i will never forget this. Easily one of my lifes most interesting and crazy experiences! We also went to a buddhistic water blessing, which was extremely educational regaring their religion and country overall. Do not cheat yourself of not trying out, anything you find remotely interesting from backstreet academy - this is how travelling should be done!
