More About This Experience
A local Cambodian tradition, palm leaf weaving is a skill that has been passed down from generation to generation. Almost everyone in a Cambodian rural family is able to craft various items from palm leaves. These items are extremely versatile where you can make anything of any size or shape to fit any item you have in mind. Besides, they are eco friendly, hardy and looks really cool!
Far from a difficult skill, you might even like it so much you want to create palm leave containers for everything you own! Spend an afternoon with Mrs.Mom or Mr.Channa learning this skill and connecting with the local people and you might find Siem Reap a far more endearing city than simply the throngs of tourists flooding the gates of Angkor Wat everyday.
