More About This Experience

Cambodian cuisine is closely related to that of neighboring Thailand and Laos and, to a lesser extent, Vietnam, but there are some distinct local dishes in Cambodia that one must try in order to experience a uniquely Cambodian culinary fare. The overall consensus is that Khmer cooking is like Thai, but without the spices. Curries, stir tried vegetable, rice, noodles and soups are staples of the Khmer diet. Street food is very popular affair in Phnom Penh, particularly among the city's youth. Fried meatballs, Khmer desserts, grilled chicken and other street foods can be found nearly everywhere in the capital, esp near high schools, outside factories, on the sidewalks, from mobile vendor carts. But as tempting as all of these might appear, one must try it to experience it. NOT INCLUDED: -Extra riding time -Personal expenses -Tipping -Services not listed in the itinerary

A great and insightful evening of food tour with Nara. The eateries n stalls we went were local favourites and all items we ate were very delicious, which we could not have found or tried on our own. Nara is a foodie and very knowledgeable about the local food. Hope to be back for more Khmer food.

Excellent variety of street and local restaurant food, at places which are clearly very popular with locals. Very knowledgable on the food, culture and history, and good advice for being in Phnom Penh.

Great street food tour addressing many different locations throughout phnom penh. Nara is a friendly, energetic guide who speaks English very well. And he works as a chef and hosts cooking classes so he knows all about the different dishes. His tours are pretty flexible, whenever you see something interesting it's possible to try. Even though we did a street food tour in Vietnam last year, we had plenty of new experiences and discoveries!

What an amazing experience. We got to see and try things we would never have done on our own. Incredible. Will do it again if we go back!

Terrific tour at places no visitor or even ex-pat could find on his or her own, especially when Westeerners have to watch food safety.
