These extremely interesting food were very popular and eaten many years ago when the Lao people lived in the countryside, where they were one with the jungle, hunting and foraging for food. They ate raw food and everything around them, every part of the animal should not be wasted and almost anything can be food. They had a poem: ?You wouldn't be a man if you can't eat raw food?!
Nowadays these foods, while losing its place in the regular diet, have become a popular for occasions such as festivals, gatherings and even date nights as it is a very memorable time for everyone.
