The tour took us places we would never find, never think to look or would be afraid to try. It was exciting and very interesting. We were worried of getting sick from street food, but had no problems.

Everything that I ate tasted amazing and I never would have found it otherwise. I even went back for more lassi the next day at the same location; it was that good! Plus nothing upset my stomach which was a huge plus.

For sure we wouldn’t have tried the various dishes at those very weird and special places. The people were wonderful and inviting, and the amount of food at the end of it all more than enough, although I’m curious as to why we needed to pay again? (Knowing the value of the food involved – which wasn’t much – I think the original price paid was more than enough, and then we might have been inclined to tip our guide rather.) It might be an idea to have more than 5 destinations on the tour at the ready, as when our guide found out that we were from multicultural Dubai, she might have directed us to the more unusual foods, as we’d already tried three of the items on the tour before so it wasn’t necessarily as nice and ‘unique’ as we’d have liked. However, the versions of things we’d tried were great examples each so we weren’t wanting for flavor, texture and delight. I also think a lead up to the various foods, with a history and story might have had us more intrigued about what was coming next to build excitement. As to the promise of eating as much as one wanted, we weren’t offered ‘seconds’ of anything along the way. (not that we needed to, but still...) A recommended trip - seriously, do it.
