Just 36 kilometers away from the capital city, Kathmandu, Panauti is a beautiful historic town with an ancient nostalgic atmosphere. How To Get There: It is really not so hard to get to Panauti. You just go to the old bus park, Kathmandu, and hop on a local bus and it will directly take you to the town in an hour or so and this won't cost you much, too. But, make sure you take the right bus. Once you reach Panauti Buspark, turn right onto the Kushadevi Road. Go straight. Within a walk for 10-15 minutes, there's Panauti Community Homestay office ( Green building) on your right-hand side. It's always wise to ask direction with the locals when you are confused as probably 3 out of 5 know about the Panauti Community Homestay in Panauti. Itinerary - Lunch at the homestay -Sightseeing around the town with the host -Interaction with the locals - Cooking Class in the evening -Typical Nepali dinner with the family.
