If you are looking for a quick break from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu Valley and are interested in a more tranquil environment where you can explore the historical and cultural aspect of Nepal, then a trip to Panauti is the perfect getaway.
Be closer to the authentic lifestyle of the Nepali people, socialize with the locals of the Panauti village and breathe in the fresh air of the lush Panauti Valley. Just 36 kilometers away from the capital city, Kathmandu, Panauti is a beautiful historic town with an ancient nostalgic atmosphere.
How To Get There:
It is really not so hard to get to Panauti. You just go to the old bus park, Kathmandu, and hop on a local bus and it will directly take you to the town in an hour or so and this won't cost you much, too. But, make sure you take the right bus.
Once you reach Panauti Buspark, turn right onto the Kushadevi Road. Go straight. Within a walk for 10-15 minutes, there's Panauti Community Homestay office ( Green building) on your right-hand side. It's always wise to ask direction with the locals when you are confused as probably 3 out of 5 know about the Panauti Community Homestay in Panauti.
