Our main areas of impact are:
1) Empowerment through micro-entrepreneurship
We enable thousands of people in underprivileged communities around the world to become micro-entrepreneurs in tourism by providing the technology, platform and market access to the tourism industry, even if they are unable to speak English or access smartphones. Not only does this alleviate poverty directly for the microentrepreneur, their mindset and business will also help in moving his community out of poverty.
2) Conservation of traditional heritage and culture
Thousands of traditional heritage, culture and crafts are slowly being forgotten with mass migrations to big cities and a lack of economic opportunities for people who hold on to them. With an avenue to monetize their skills and generate interest in these traditional heritage, we are able to keep it alive and provide a livelihood for these artisans. Youth are more inclined to learn about their heritage as well, making it a lucrative profession compared to before.
3) A virtuous cycle to end poverty
With this empowerment approach, we enable communities to move out of poverty with dignity. By helping to train them as micro-entrepreneurs, not only do we do away with the hand-outs mindset, we also enable the self-starters in each community to become a champion who can subsequently inspire and assist his/her own community out of poverty, setting into motion a virtuous cycle to put poverty in a museum.

Job Position (Digital Marketer), Based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
We are looking for an experienced digital marketer in the travel industry. You must have run marketing campaigns for travel companies before, preferably travel platforms. You must be extremely comfortable with data, being numbers driven as well as creative. You will be in charge of conceptualizing and executing our marketing campaigns across digital and offline formats supported by our operational team in 8 countries and our technical team. You will be managing our marketing budget and ad spend to help the company expand 10x in the next 3 years with very little constraints in what we can do and cannot do. This is also a unique opportunity to conceptualize campaigns for the entire region, as well as for an extremely new and innovative product that will make a difference to the industry as well as the communties we serve.

Remuneration will be competitive with 3 phases. Probation period, stable and then results driven. The probation period of 2 months will be for you to see if this is the kind of job you like and if you are up to the challenge of working in a technology social enterprise with regional reach. In the stable period you will receive a fixed salary, and in the results driven period you will receive bonuses based on your performance and the company’s local performance as well.
Job Duties
- Plan and execute web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, offline and display advertising campaigns
- Manage our marketing and ad spend for optimal ROI
- Design, build and maintain our social media presence
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
- Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests
- Collaborate with internal teams to strategize campaigns for growth taking into consideration operational, financial constraints
- create landing pages and optimize user experience
- Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
- Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
Job Requirements
Essential
- Fluent written and conversational English.
- Proven working experience in digital marketing
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage with high measurable ROI
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
- Have a laptop and smartphone preferably
- Honesty & Integrity
- Passion for travel, connecting people, social enterprises, culture and technology
Preferred
- International experience in travel industry
- Passion for marketing, startups and advertising
- Have worked in a startup environment before
- Have an interest for social causes, making social impact and initiating change for Southeast Asia.
