More About This Experience
Bamboo is actually quite a remarkable resource. It is not only sustainable but also a very light and strong material. Vo Van Tan has had a love affair with bamboo for a long time, but it wasn't until he started looking deeply into the utility of bamboo that he found out all the amazing things that this plant is capable of.
It comes as no surprise that bamboo - difficult to break yet easy to bend - is commonly used, be it in the construction of making an entire houses to small bamboo souvenirs and crafts. In addition, mostly associated with the wind instruments, bamboo is also used to construct a variety of musical instruments and furniture. Examples include the speaker cabinet which is comprised of tuned bamboo tubes on a bamboo frame. The instrument is shaken and struck at the same time, creating a percussive and tuneful sound. On addition, there are plenty of utility items that can be made from bamboo. Join us in this course to discover the absolute versatility of the bamboo and create your own handmade bamboo craft with our friendly host.
