More About This Experience

Learn the art of Batik from a local artist in Chiang Mai and get to bring home a unique souvenir handcrafted by your own hands! From introducing the material and tools to painting dye colours, you could know all how the Batik art form came to Thailand and the differences here compared to other places. Create your own masterpiece on a 12"x12" handkerchief or choose to do it on a T-shirt with the add-on option (additional charge). --Course content-- The course will guide you into the world of batik. First, explain all the materials and equipment on the table. Secondly, trace the design on to your own fabric. Then, the most exciting part -- using canting, wax over the design and painting the colours. After all the work, remove and fix the wax as the last steps.
