Phonesavanh is the magical land of jars where ancient, mystifying jars of all shapes populate the plains together with UXOs left from the secret war. Not to worry though, large parts of the plains have already been cleared of mines and other UXOs, and in the usual tourist circuits they are almost unheard of these days. Phonesavanh town itself is a very small, interesting place where you only have a few hotels to choose from, a small market and that's about it.
