More About This Experience

Tempeh is happiness in the form of fermented soy cakes - quintessentially Indonesian but loved by all! They are enjoyed either as snack or part of a meal, whichever way its prepared, tempeh always delights. Join us and see how they're made, processed and prepared and towards the end of the workshop enjoy a simple but delicious dish to kick start your love affair with tempeh. In order to achieve the perfect taste and the texture, tempeh making has to follow certain specific steps, from peeling of the skin of the soybean to soaking them overnight in water, the process is precise and calculated. In this workshop, you will get the experience every step of the process, from beans right down to preparing a tempeh dish loved by locals.

  • Pick-up point: The exact pick-up location address will be sent to your email instantly after booking
  • Venue is located around 15 minutes drive from the city center - we recommend using a transport app (Gojek/Grab) as the cheapest and most reliable way to get there
  • Guests are expected to take their own notes during the workshop as a guide book will not be provided
  • Guests can take home a few slabs of tempeh prepared on the day of the workshop
