As travelers we've all at some point wished that all our travel documents and money were all conveniently placed in one little pack. Yes, there are several versions of this in the market made from leather, plastic and various other materials and they all pretty much look the same. But have you ever considered making one from traditionally hand-loomed Nepali fabric? Well, if you haven't then we strongly recommend you try it as most of us at Backstreet Academy have kept one for ourselves. Not only is it something handy but there's also a variety of fabric designs to choose from and the process of making them is equally rewarding, not to mention the ability to customize ever pocket specially to each of your devices and items! How cool is that!
This course starts with you selecting the fabric pattern from a variety of choices. From there it's on to measuring the fabric to the size of your passport and other travel docs. Once you've got the basic measurement, you will proceed to cutting the fabric to size to prepare laying the inner layers and pockets for you credit cards and cash. The next step is on the sewing machine, if you have some experience with the sewing machine then this should be a breeze. Fret not if you've never used a sewing machine before though, you will first get to practice before moving on to your actual travel pack. An hour or two of sewing later and you'll be ready to rock your swanky new travel pack! ;)
