Traditionally, Nepal does not have a history of practicing any type of martial arts but that does not stop the national martial art teams from winning medals on the international arena. This is also one sport that has caught the fancy of the youth in Nepal where many of them sign up for independent workshops from an early age.
Deepak doesn't own his own gym and conducts all his classes at a shared community hall where he also conducts martial art programs for the youth. The same hall will be used for your class as well. The class begins as all exercise regimes do with some cardio warm up and basic stretching. As your body gets set, be prepared to learn some defensive and offensive moves from Deepak. He'll get you started with basic postures and how to position the body for the various moves. Once the posture is set then you'll be taught the right way to punch, kick and keep your guard. The quicker you pick up these basics, the quicker you'll get to the pad work - which is the most fun part of the class. :)
