More About This Experience

Always wanted to make your own pots and flower vases? Now you can! Learn the entire process of hand-making pottery and the intricate carvings decorating it. You'll be able to make anything, be it a vase, a pot, even a bust if you're up to it! Just show us a picture of what you would like and we can make it happen :) The clay we use does not require the use of a pottery wheel. We mould it with our hands and sculpt it with tools. The clay is also designed for baking in the sun and requires no baking in the kiln. Therefore, worry not about the time needed to collect your artwork! You can bring it home immediately after you make it. If this is the first time you've come in contact with clay, you'll be absolutely fascinated! The variety of tools available allow you to create almost any shape and pattern you can possibly imagine. Once you've decided on that, you simply create the desired shape before adding your own intricate carvings onto it. Then finally you just sun it for a few hours and it will harden enough for you to use it.

Additional Information:

  • Please be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the booking time

Fun activity! Would have benefitted from more direction from the instructor about what the steps of the process were going to be, whether or not we would be baking the clay at the end (I made a mug that I can't use for beverages now haha), if we would be colouring it, etc.

Despite the fact that the experience was a bit under our expectation in terms of the setting; my friends and I had a great time trying new things. The host was friendly and helpful but the experience could have been much greater if what had been made could be used.
