More About This Experience

Bamboo is a kind of important resource for Lao people, apparently, most of their houses, equipment and tools are made of bamboo include house's wall, baskets, steamer, sticky rice basket, fishing traps, bird traps and they are also use bamboo as a roof for hats. Join our master bamboo weaver and learn about the many uses of bamboo in Laos. This half day class students will weave a placemat or traditional fan. Option 1: Full day bamboo weaving (9am to 4pm) This class can be extended to a full day allowing students to weave a small basket. Full day price includes Lao-style lunch. Note: Please check-in at the meeting point (Ock Pop Tok shop in town) 30 minutes before the booking time and ask for a free ride to the Living craft center.
